ABOUT BIRD ENTERTAINMENT
At the tender age of 17, Brian Bird hatched an idea: to create a venue for high school students to act. In 1995, he built the nest that would be home to Bird Entertainment, a community theatre group that was geared toward young people living in the Brampton area. Since its inception, Bird Entertainment has strove to give young actors the opportunity to try leading roles in established plays to inspire development. The company encourages young people to explore the art of acting while allowing them to work with, and learn from, their peers.
Now over a decade later, Brian is thrilled with how Bird Entertainment has taken flight. In the past few years, not only has the company grown, but so have its actors. It's not a show, set or lights that drive a Bird Entertainment production - it's the people on stage. The passion, enthusiasm, and dedication of Bird Entertainment’s members make this team truly special, and make them able to provide audiences with ever-evolving talent and productions.
Since it’s creation in 1995, Bird Entertainment has been proud to produce over 60 theatrical productions. These live theatre events range in scale from community based theatre to large professional productions spanning every genre. No matter what the venue or specific play, the same care and professionalism is put forth into every production to ensure the product is always first class theatre.
